Effective Oct. 1, 2020, NIA discontinued the phone call to providers providing them with authorization determinations. Instead, NIA will only send a fax with the determination unless the fax fails. If the fax fails, NIA will call you to notify you of your authorization determination. The mailed letter process will remain unchanged.
